Providing subsidized busing, from Lethbridge Transit, to pick up and drop off school classes from Lethbridge at the Galt Museum & Archives has been a longstanding tradition for educational programming at the Galt. The Friends of the Galt Museum & Archives hold multiple fundraisers throughout the year to help subsidize the costs of this transportation program. This subsidized program will continue, but with a few differences that are important for teachers.

In previous years, all the booking was done by the Galt's Museum Educator since they were the only one with access to book programs and buses. Our staff have been working closely with representatives from the City of Lethbridge to build tools and access for schools to be able to book their own buses once their programs have been booked at the Galt.

Once teachers have requested an educational program with the Galt, Henrickson will respond to the request with confirmation of dates and program, as well as a link to the website teachers will use to book their bus on the confirmed date and time. By using this link to book the bus, a bill will be sent from Lethbridge Transit to the Galt Museum & Archives.
