IN CLASS WORKSHOP: ASKING GOOD QUESTIONS
Aaron Stout, an instructor from the U of L Education Department, will run a workshop in your classroom. This workshop is designed to help students craft questions, identify topics and evaluate sources. These skills will help guide their Heritage Fair inquiry projects. If you would like to use the Primary Source Packages (described below), Aaron will guide your students through the sources.
ADVENTURES IN ARCHIVES
Bring your class to the Galt to tour our Archives and Collection! The archivist and collections manager will talk about how historians use primary sources to learn about the past. If your class is working with the primary source packages we can also show them the original documents.
Cost: $45 per class
ASK A HISTORIAN
Using an online system your students can send questions to our presenter who will answer them in real time!
PRIMARY SOURCE PACKAGES
We can locate primary sources for your students to analyze for their Heritage Fair projects. Email Ashley for more information and see our “Primary Sources Page” to review the topics teachers have requested so far.
